Scientific Program of FIGIPAS 2009

To be held in Palermo, July 1-4, 2009, the 10th edition of the FIGIPAS meeting will focus on the following research topics:

  • Supramolecular chemistry
  • Organometallics and Catalysis
  • Properties and Reactions
  • Inorganic materials
  • Bioinorganic chemistry
  • Energy and photochemistry
  • Coordination Chemistry

Organized in a compact timeschedule, there will be 8 plenary lectures, each followed by a discussion session of 10 minutes; 16 session lectures (30 minutes), 35 oral short communications (20 minutes) and 2 poster sessions featuring 192 posters. The magnificent setting of Palermo will facilitate collaboration and networking that crosses cultural and linguistic boundaries. In the spirit of the previous FIGIPAS meetings we envision a stimulating scientific event where scientists meet in one plenum to present and discuss all aspects of inorganic chemistry.

Dalton Transactions, the inorganic chemistry journal of the RSC Publishing, will publish papers originating from the meeting.

FIGIPAS 2009 Policy and Aims

The ‘FIGIPAS Meeting in Inorganic Chemistry’ has become famous as one of the main international chemical sciences conference, with an optimal setting for intense discussion. According to its tradition, FIGIPAS 2009 will again be highly interdisciplinary, covering many areas of inorganic chemistry and allowing also for relevant highlights from neighboring disciplines.

The organisers aimed to a stimulating scientific event where younger and more experienced scientists chosen in a good balance meet to present and discuss all aspects of inorganic chemistry, opening up possibilities of engaging in meaningful collaborations at regional and global levels.

Conference Language: English Conference

Venue: Villa Igiea Hilton, Palermo

Important note: Presentations will be included into the Book of Abstracts only after having received full payment of the registration fee.
