Dental Health Improvement
From early times people have tried to keep their teeth clean. Why do they feel is important may not be obvious, because they do not have the knowledge we have today about dental health and its potential to affect public health and welfare of the individual. In any case, we know that they chew sticks until they are soft enough to serve as a small brush that they then can rub against their teeth. Our ancestors also used chewing sticks, feathers, quill, and animal bones.
